Yes, please pack a picnic if you wish! We ask that no alcoholic beverages be brought into the Blues Bash though as we sell a vareity of legal beverages to help raise money.

The Pomeroy Blues & Jazz Society is a non-profit organization. All the funds we raise are through private, corporate, and personal donations. The Blues Bash is actually a fundraiser. Charging a small entrance fee at the Blues Bash guarantees the continuation of the Rhythm on the River and Blues Bash performances. Our goal is to expand the Rhythm on the River music series and continue to improve the downtown area of beautiful Pomeroy.

Lawn chairs are welcome and encouraged, ecspecially for the Blues Bash. There should be plenty of seating available for the Rhythm on the River shows.

In case of rain, a Rhythm on the River performance will be held at the Court Street Grill. We promise our best to hold the show at the Riverside Amphitheatre! In 10 years of performances, only 3 have been moved inside. The Blues Bash will go on rain or shine. Please plan accordingly and bring an umbrella if needed.

The Pomeroy Blues & Jazz Society, affectionately known as the ‘PB&J;’s’ is a volunteer group dedicated to promoting cultural awareness and economic development by presenting live music, art and events in downtown Pomeroy Ohio. Founded in 1999, the PB&J;’s annually promote the “Rhythm on the River” Summer music series and the “Big Bend Blues Bash,” both of which draw thousands of music lovers and positively impact the community and surrounding areas.
